The walks go ahead. The Babylon walks and the Blue Bike ride say in their listings that they run in all weather, and Fat Tire sells ponchos for €2 and rain jackets for €5 at its office. Dress for the day and wear shoes you can walk in.
How much is a walking tour of the Marais?
The shared history walks run from $50 for ninety minutes to $117 for four hours of Jewish history from the Place des Vosges. The Babylon walk through the Jewish quarter is $64.
Do any tours include museum tickets?
No. None of the fares includes a museum. The Carnavalet and the permanent collections of the Maison de Victor Hugo are free anyway, and the Musée Picasso charges its own ticket.
Why does a private food tour cost so much more?
You are paying for a guide for your party alone, at a start time you choose. The fare is per person and falls as the party grows, so the gap is widest for a couple and narrowest for a family.
Is there a Jewish history tour of the Marais?

Which exit of Saint-Paul metro should I use?
The one your operator names. Four operators meet at Saint-Paul, at four different addresses: by the merry-go-round, outside a bakery at 129 Rue Saint-Antoine, at the exit on the Rue du Prévôt, and at the church. Read the confirmation, not the map pin.
Are the food tours vegan or gluten-free?
Mostly not. Secret Food Tours says vegan and gluten-free diets cannot be accommodated, LivTours says its private walk does not suit vegans or anyone gluten-free, and Do Eat Better says it does not suit vegans or anyone lactose intolerant.
Can I join a food tour with a severe food allergy?
Not on every one. Do Eat Better and Eating Europe both say guests with severe or life-threatening food allergies cannot take part. Ask the operator before you book any food walk.
Are the tours wheelchair accessible?
A few say so in their listings: the Eating Europe walk, the Original Food Tours walk, the Paris Always Walk history walk and the private Babylon walk. Most do not, so check the listing and ask the operator.
Is there a minimum age?
It depends on the tour. The private Secret Food Tours walk is for adults only, the four-hour Jewish history walk sets a minimum age of 11, and several walks take small children free.
Can teenagers drink the wine on a food tour?
No. The listings that state a drinking age set it at 18. Ask the operator what a teenager is served instead; Secret Food Tours lists water or soft drinks.
Which arrondissement is Le Marais in?
Two: the 3rd and the 4th, on the Right Bank. The protected Marais covers 126 hectares, about 1.2% of Paris.
Can I go inside a synagogue on a tour?
Not on the Babylon walks, which say entry is restricted for security reasons. If going inside matters to you, ask the operator of any Jewish history walk before you book.
Are the museums in the Marais free?
Some are. The Carnavalet and the Maison de Victor Hugo's permanent collections are free, as is the Mémorial de la Shoah. The Musée Picasso charges €16 and the mahJ €13.
